I never imagined how much growing up on a farm and then working remodeling and construction would prepare me for being a home inspector, but it certainly did! Some things are learned farm life and the work site that you could never learn in a classroom.
I also remember the state dairy inspectors coming to inspect my dad's farm every year, and wondered why they were always so cold, intimidating and didn't care to talk with us kids who were following them around, watching them work. When I decided to become an inspector myself, I resolved to be just the opposite of those guys. Your home inspection doesn't need to be stressful or make you uneasy- a thorough professional inspection can be fun. I enjoy what I do, and hope you also will relax and be a part of the process. I have been trained by the best in the business, and my current mentors are veteran home inspectors with decades of experience.
I have been married to my wife Anna for 15 years, and we are raising six wonderful children together. I started Legacy Home Inspections to help give people peace of mind when buying or selling their homes, and also to give my kids the option to work alongside me in a family business someday.
